Synicem 1G cement is used for cementation and fixation of bones. Its use is indicated in orthopedics and other surgical specialties in cases where it is necessary to fix prosthetic elements using a sterile polymerizable material.
Synicem 1 G with gentamicin is recommended for patients at high risk due to a second intervention, for patients infected with gentamicin-susceptible organisms or for patients with reduced defences.
Synicem 1G is an antibiotic-infused cement, radiopaque and sterile. Each 20 gram dose of powder contains 250 mg of gentamicin sulfate, each 40 gram dose of powder contains 500 mg of gentamicin sulfate.
