Synicem 3G cement is used for cementation and fixation of bones. Its use is indicated in orthopedics and other surgical specialties in cases where it is necessary to fix prosthetic elements using a sterile polymerizable material.
Synicem 3G with gentamicin is recommended for patients at high risk due to re-intervention, patients infected with gentamicin-susceptible organisms, or patients with reduced body defences.
Synicem 3G is an antibiotic-infused cement, radiopaque and sterile. Each 40 g powder dose contains 500 mg of gentamicin sulfate, and each 60 g powder dose contains 750 mg of gentamicin sulfate.
